Touring Breweries From Home...(Part 2)

Every day from now on the Cricket Hill blog team will post a new Picture of the Cricket Hill Facility with a description of the brewing process each machine facilitates. Our hope is to expand your knowledge of the brewing process, and show you the specific steps taken by our Head Brewer Dave, and the rest of the Cricket Hill Team.

The Fermenters

These are the stainless steel vessels where the wort is mixed with the amazing yeast. As soon as the yeast touches the wort, you officially have beer. Over the next 5 days or so, the yeast will eat the wort and create ethanol alcohol and carbon dioxide.

There is a new place that opened in Sussex County called Salt ◊ 109 US Highway 206 ◊ Byram ◊ NJ ◊ (973) 347 7258. They are calling themself a gastropub. I was there for dinner and drinks one night and they have a great variety of beers from around the country and world. I asked why they did not have any local beers and they claimed that they were going to try and get some. I told thme about Cricket Hill and they seemed interested. I also just posted a ntoe on their blog telling them to check out Cricket Hill - good luck!
